چکیده
Effective planning and scheduling in multi-agent systems (MAS) requires the development of representations that can model their unique problem-solving requirements. This paper analyzes both the macro-behavior (behavior of a MAS w.r.t. system goals) and the micro-behavior (behavior of individual agents w.r.t. to local goals) of MAS. The Sensible Agent architecture provides a representation of the agent organizations in which the respective agent participates to pursue and accomplish goals. Specifically, this autonomy level representation defines an agent’s interactions with other agents in the system and, thus, the macro-behavior of agent problem solving organizations in the system. The Sensible Agent structure supports plan generation and execution of the resulting micro-behaviors. This research also extends traditional satisfiability (SAT) planners to model agent-level microbehavior for planning. The extensions use Binary Decision Diagrams and formal verification toolkits to improve the forecasting ability of agent planners. The resulting planner uses Computation Tree Logic (CTL) formulas to check local stability while retaining the speed and expressiveness of traditional satisfiability planners. The combination of microand macro-behavior modeling techniques greatly increases the control and stability of MAS.

Introduction: Information about vegetation cover and their health has always been interesting to ecologists due to its importance in terms of habitat, energy production and other important characteristics of plants on the earth planet. Nowadays, developments in remote sensing technologies caused more remotely sensed data accessible to researchers. The combination of these data improves the obje...
متن کاملVerifying Multi-Agent Knowledge-Based Systems using COVERAGE
Anomaly detection, as performed by the COVER tool, has proven to be a useful method for verification of knowledge-based systems. The increasing development of distributed knowledge-based systems based upon the multi-agent architecture demands techniques for the verification of these systems. This paper describes the COVERAGE too1 -an extension of COVER designed to perform anomaly detection on m...
متن کاملReducing Retrieval Time in Automated Storage and Retrieval System with a Gravitational Conveyor Based on Multi-Agent Systems
The main objective of this study is to reduce the retrieval time of a list of products by choosing the best combination of storage and retrieval rules at any time. This is why we start by implementing some storage rules in an Automated Storage/Retrieval System (Automated Storage and Retrieval System: AS/RS) fitted with a gravity conveyor while some of these rules are dedicated to storage and ot...
متن کاملOn the integration of declarative choreographies and Commitment-based agent societies into the SCIFF logic programming framework
The definition of choreography specification languages for Service Oriented Systems poses important challenges. Mainstream approaches tend to focus on procedural aspects, leading to over-constrained and over-specified models. Because of such a drawback, declarative languages are gaining popularity as a better way to model service choreographies. A similar issue was met in the Multi-Agent System...
متن کاملUsing ILP-Systems for Verification and Validation of Multi-agent Systems
Most applications of inductive logic programming focus on prediction or the discovery of new knowledge. We describe a less common application of ILP namely veriication and validation of knowledge based systems and multi-agent systems. Using inductive logic programming, partial declarative speciications of the software can be induced from the behavior of the software. These rules can be readily ...
